Brawl Stars now runs more than 100 Brawlers across seven combat classes, with PvP matches that start and finish in under three minutes.

Brawl Stars is a 3v3 and 5v5 MOBA shooter from Supercell, the Finnish studio behind Clash of Clans and Clash Royale, now on version 67.301 for Android. It plays from a top-down view with twin-stick controls, and every match is short PvP combat against real players: collect gems, score goals, or survive a battle royale depending on the mode. The pull is the roster. The game crossed 100 Brawlers in February 2026 with Sirius, and each character sits in one of seven classes that decide how you hold a lane. Add daily map rotation, a deep upgrade tree, and free seasonal content, and you have one of the most-played mobile shooters in the world.

The Brawler roster: 100+ characters across seven classes

Brawl Stars passed 100 Brawlers when Sirius arrived as the 100th in February 2026, and the roster is not a flat list. Every Brawler belongs to one of seven classes, and the class tells you where to stand and what job you fill on a map. Knowing the class breakdown matters more than chasing rarity, because a Common like Shelly stays useful at top trophies while many rarer picks sit on the bench.

  • Damage Dealers handle mid-range trades and carry most lanes. Shelly (Common) fires a wide shotgun spread that shreds at point-blank, Colt (Common) lands six fast linear shots for high single-target damage, and Surge (Legendary) gains range and a second shot as he levels up mid-match.
  • Tanks soak damage and break enemy formations up close. El Primo, Bull, and Frank front-line every push, while Damian (Mythic) lands as the toughest Tank in the game at around 11,200 HP when fully leveled, with a triple-punch combo that builds to an explosion.
  • Marksmen punish open maps from a distance. Piper, Brock, and Bea deal heavy burst at long range but fold the moment an Assassin closes the gap, so they want walls and teammates between them and the front.
  • Artillery and throwers arc shots over cover. Barley, Dynamike, Tick, and Sprout lob area damage onto a safe or a choke point, ideal in Heist and on walled Gem Grab maps where enemies cannot dodge sideways.
  • Controllers slow, pull, and lock down. Emz and Sandy zone whole areas, and Gene can yank an enemy gem carrier out of position with his Super for a match-deciding play.
  • Assassins dive the backline and delete a target. Mortis, Leon, Edgar, and Stu reset their movement on a kill, and Starr Nova (Mythic) transforms mid-fight into a faster melee form with self-healing.
  • Supports keep a team alive. Poco and Pam heal allies through a fight, while Byron can either heal a teammate or poison an enemy with the same shot.

Eight game modes, each with its own win condition

The fastest way to climb trophies is matching your Brawler to the mode, because the eight core modes reward completely different play. A pick that carries Showdown can be useless in Heist, and the daily map rotation forces you to switch loadouts often. Here is what each main mode actually asks of you.

  • Gem Grab (3v3 and 5v5): collect gems from the center mine and hold 10 across the team for a 15-second countdown. Get fragged while carrying and you drop your gems, so one player usually plays defensive carrier.
  • Showdown (Solo and Duo): a battle royale where 10 players (or five duos) fight on a shrinking map. Power Cubes from boxes raise your health and damage, so early box control beats early fighting.
  • Brawl Ball: a football mode where the first team to two goals wins. Walls break, the ball drops on a kill, and a tied match goes to sudden death.
  • Knockout: best of three rounds with no respawn. Eliminate the full enemy team to take a round, and the first side to two rounds wins, which rewards patient, calm trades.
  • Bounty: kills build your star bounty up to seven stars, and the team with the most stars when the timer ends wins. A blue star spawns at center as a bonus.
  • Heist: destroy the enemy safe before they crack yours, usually inside 2.5 minutes. Throwers and high-DPS Brawlers like Colt and Barley shine here.
  • Hot Zone: stand inside the marked zones to fill a control meter faster than the enemy team. Controllers who deny space win these maps.
  • Duels: a 1v1 where you bring three Brawlers and fight through all of them, so loadout variety beats one-trick mains.

How Brawlers grow: Star Powers, Gadgets, Gears, and Hypercharges

A Brawler at level 1 and the same Brawler maxed are nearly different characters, and most of that gap comes from four upgrade layers that stack on top of raw level. Many guides stop at “upgrade your Brawler,” so here is the order that actually changes how a pick performs.

Gadgets unlock first, around power level 7. They are active abilities with limited uses per match (often three), and they swing fights: Shelly can blast a wall away to expose a hiding enemy, Colt can reload instantly to dump extra shots. Star Powers come at power level 9 as passive boosts, and you slot one of two. Shell Shock, for example, slows enemies hit by Shelly’s Super, which turns a knockback into a kill setup. Gears arrive at power level 11 as situational stat boosts (faster reload on bushy maps, extra speed in gadget-heavy meta). Hypercharges sit at the top: they supercharge a Brawler’s Super for a few seconds with bonus speed, damage, and a shield, and they only fire once you charge the Super through normal combat. The 67.301 update added a fresh Hypercharge for Najia, and that single layer can flip a losing trade.

Brawler Prestige and Buffies reshape progression in 2026

The single biggest change long-time players feel in 2026 is that your trophies no longer reset, and most write-ups gloss over how this works. The old season reset is gone, replaced by Brawler Prestige. Once a Brawler reaches 1,000 trophies, that count is locked as a permanent floor and can never drop below it. Push past 1,000 and you build Prestige Ranks 1 through 3 instead of grinding the same trophies back every season. Lower bands still pay out: the Bronze to Gold range (250 to 750 trophies) hands you Sprays, Icons, Pins, and 29-Gem skins or Bling.

Buffies are the other shift. They replaced Mythic Gears (and Supercell refunded the full value), and they hand classic Brawlers like Shelly, Colt, Spike, Emz, Frank, and Mortis enhanced effects that lift them back into the meta. The Buffie machine now rolls per Trio of three Brawlers, so you have a better shot at the Buffie you actually want. Matchmaking also moved to a hidden skill-based MMR rather than raw trophy count, which means your opponents track your real skill, not just how long you have played.

Why Brawl Stars matches end in under three minutes

The whole game is built around the short match, and that design choice explains why it stays installed on phones for years. Most 3v3 modes wrap in two to four minutes, Knockout averages two to five, and only Showdown stretches toward ten. You move with a left thumbstick and aim with a right one, switching between auto-aim for quick taps and manual aim for skill shots over walls.

Your Super is the rhythm of every fight. It charges as you deal and take damage, so playing too safe means you never get to use your strongest tool, while overextending feeds the enemy theirs. That tension is why aggression timing decides matches more than raw mechanics. Maps rotate daily across every mode, so a Brawler that dominated yesterday can be a poor pick on today’s layout, which keeps the same modes feeling fresh long after you have learned them.

Skins, the Brawl Pass, and how cosmetics unlock

Skins in Brawl Stars are purely cosmetic and never touch a Brawler’s stats, which matters because it means a free player and a paying player fight on equal footing. Basic skins start around 29 Gems, while legendary and Hypercharge skins run far higher into the hundreds of Gems. Bling, a free currency you earn from trophies and progression, lets you buy a chunk of those skins without spending money, and the recent Bling rework and new Oddities Shop made it easier to target the exact skin you want instead of relying on random offers.

The Brawl Pass is the main seasonal track, priced around 169 Gems per season, and it pays back Gems, Credits, Pins, and an exclusive skin as you climb tiers. Recent seasons leaned on collaborations: Season 50 ran the Starr Patrol theme in May, Season 51 brings Brawl Strikers in June, and an Adidas crossover added the Super Ball mode. Free players still earn a parallel reward track, so cosmetics keep flowing even without the paid pass.

What’s new in version 67.301: the Shop Rework update

Version 67.301 is the Shop Rework update, the largest store overhaul the game has had, running across the April to June 2026 season window. These are the main changes pulled from the official release notes.

  • Shop and Bling overhaul: a rebuilt store with Juju’s Oddities Shop, personalized bundles, and clearer ways to spend Bling on the specific cosmetics you want.
  • Three new Brawlers: Damian (Mythic Tank, the toughest Tank at around 11,200 HP fully leveled), Starr Nova (Mythic Assassin with a mid-fight transformation), and Bolt (Epic Tank whose damage scales with movement speed).
  • Super Ball mode: a Brawl Ball 2.0 tied to the Adidas event, with a robot keeper you can stun and a kick mechanic that powers up shots and chains passes.
  • Starr Patrol and a boss fight: a 5v1 battle against Void Master Finx and Void Colette, plus a Starr Patrol modifier that lets you transform into special characters by grabbing Crystals.
  • New Buffies and a Hypercharge: fresh Buffie effects for Edgar, Colette, and Griff, and a new Hypercharge for Najia.
  • Balance pass: Damian was tuned with a Hypercharge-rate buff (20 to 35) but a Super-charge nerf (75 to 60) and lower Fire Punch damage (1,200 to 1,000), while Sirius had his health cut from 3,700 to 3,400.

Brawl Stars MOD APK features

The Brawl Stars MOD APK strips out the resource grind that the stock version builds its progression around. It hands you the Gems, Coins, Brawlers, and skins that normally take months of Starr Road grinding or real-money top-ups, aimed at players who want to test every Brawler and loadout without the wall.

Unlimited Gems and Coins

Gems and Coins sit maxed instead of trickling in from the Trophy Road and Brawl Pass (roughly 169 Gems a season on the stock build). With the cap removed, you buy a 169-Gem Brawl Pass, 29-Gem skins, and Starr Road unlocks instantly rather than saving across multiple seasons. This is most useful for testing a new pick like Damian or Bolt before deciding whether the same upgrade path is worth grinding on your official account.

All Brawlers Unlocked

Every one of the 100-plus Brawlers is open from the first launch, including the 100th Brawler Sirius and the 67.301 additions Damian, Starr Nova, and Bolt. On the stock APK you climb the Starr Road and spend Credits to add Brawlers one at a time over months. The MOD skips that entirely, which lets you try class roles (Tank, Assassin, Marksman) side by side instead of waiting to unlock one of each.

All Skins and Cosmetics Unlocked

The full skin catalog opens up, from 29-Gem basic skins to the high-cost legendary and Hypercharge skins that normally run into the hundreds of Gems. Collab skins like the My Hero Academia set and the Adidas Super Ball cosmetics are included. Because skins in Brawl Stars are cosmetic only, this changes how your Brawler looks in Brawl Ball or Showdown without altering any stats.

Private server build

Brawl Stars is online-only, so the MOD runs on a separate private server rather than touching Supercell’s live servers. Your unlimited Gems, unlocked Brawlers, and maxed loadouts exist only inside that private environment, which keeps the modded progress walled off from your official account. You play the same modes (Gem Grab, Knockout, Showdown) against bots or other private-server users instead of the ranked ladder.

The table below maps the core differences between the stock Brawl Stars and the MOD build, so you can see exactly what changes before downloading.

Frequently asked questions

Will the MOD APK get my Brawl Stars account banned?

The MOD runs on a private server, so it does not log into your official Supercell account, and the modded progress stays isolated from the live ladder. The real ban risk comes from trying to push cheats onto official servers, which Supercell detects. Keeping the private build and your official login fully separate is the safest approach.

How is the MOD APK different from the stock Brawl Stars?

The stock APK gates Gems, Brawlers, and skins behind the Starr Road grind and the Brawl Pass. The MOD opens all 100-plus Brawlers, every skin, and unlimited Gems and Coins from the first launch, running on a private server. You get the same modes like Gem Grab and Knockout, but with no resource wall.

Is Brawl Stars free to play on the stock APK?

Yes. Brawl Stars is free to download and play, and skins are cosmetic only, so paying never raises your damage or health. In-app purchases cover Gems, the roughly 169-Gem Brawl Pass, and bundles, but you can earn Brawlers, Credits, and Bling for free through Trophy Road and daily play.

Can you play Brawl Stars offline?

No. Brawl Stars is an online PvP game, and the 3v3, 5v5, and Showdown modes all need a live internet connection to match you with other players. There is no official offline campaign, so a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection is required for every match on the stock APK.
